Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

Dorothy Fitzgerald
Dorothy W. Fitzgerald, 88, of Tecumseh Drive, St. Marys, died at 7:55 p.m. Dec. 30, 2006, at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
She was born May 11, 1918, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Walter and Nellie Martin Bervinkle. On Sept. 29, 1939, she married Murray Seth Fitzgerald, who died Aug. 25, 2006.
Survivors are a son, Murray (Barb), St. Marys; a daughter, Carol J. (Steven) Kennedy, Fort Wayne, Ind.; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Bill and Lynn Bervinkle; and four sisters, Mary Altman, Ruth Gray, Brula Milby and Clair Woodnicki.
She was a homemaker and member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home Ohio 703 West Chapel, St. Marys, the Rev. Ed Groff officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the church building fund.
