Elvera R. Theurer
Elvera R. Theurer, 85, formerly 602 South Western Ave., died Jan. 5, 2007, at the Americare Living Center, Portland, Ind.
She was born July 1, 1921, in Jay County, Ind., to Otto L. and Rosa Martha Berger Fogle. On April 11, 1941, she married Clarence F. Theurer, who died Sept. 17, 1993.
Surviving are a son, William, Portland; two daughters, Rosemary (Darryl) Grove, Van Wert and Lois (John) Esparza, Celina; one sister, Esther Homan, Fort Recovery; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and eight step-great grandchildren.
She and her husband owned and operated Dollar Saver Store, Portland. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Zion Lutheran Church.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Green Park Cemetery, the Rev. Mark Strietelmeier officiating.
