McBroom eighth-grader Katie Lutz makes a stop at her locker Tuesday morning. She said she definitely thinks the lockers would look better with a fresh coat of paint. Painting McBroom's 200 lockers is on the junior high wish list for permanent improvement fund projects at a cost of $1,000. Maybe alternating blue and gold would inject more school spirit than just another coat of yucky beige, a student said.
