Violet Monnin
Minster resident Violet R. Monnin, 91, formerly of Russia, died at 7:15 a.m. Feb. 28, 2007, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
She was born Oct. 24, 1915, in Newport, to William and Emma Wolfrum Marshall. On June 24, 1939, she married J. Wilson Monnin, who died April 6, 2001.
Surviving are seven sons, Ken (Janet), Minster, Tony (Judy), Vic (Wanda), Lenny (Diane), Mike (Connie), all of Russia, Dan (Teresa Lyle), Versailles, and Wilson (Peggy), Sidney; two daughters, Betty (Ron) Eiting, Minster, and Rose (Dale) Marchal, Englewood; 30 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Richard and Joseph; four brothers; and two sisters.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and a past member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Newport.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Newport church, the Rev. Louis Schmidt officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
