A lone fisherman casts his line into the flooded waters of Beaver Creek near U.S. 127 early this morning. Rainfall amounts overnight Wednesday totaled 2.12 inches and caused the National Weather Service (NWS) to issue a flood warning for the Grand Lake area. The NWS is reminding the public of the dangers of flooding and promoting numerous safety measures for citizens caught in flood waters as part of National Flood Safety Awareness Week, which begins Monday.
