Claude Slife
Former Celina resident Claude A. "Dutch" Slife, 79, of Dayton, died March 16, 2007, in Dayton.
He was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Dayton, to Claude I. and Rose Marie Good Slife. On Jan. 30, 1953, he married Anna Sullivan, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Claude (Debbie); a daughter, Sherry (Terry) Bohnert; a brother, Louis (Phyllis); two sisters, Kitty (Dewey) Jones, and Marie Brock; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, William, Richard, Carl and Jim; and a sister, Florence Wells.
He retired as a lieutenant from the Dayton Police Department in 1977 and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran from 1945-1948. He was a member of St. John Free & Accepted Masonic Lodge # 13 and the Antioch Shrine.
Services were 11 a.m. today at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home & Crematory, Dayton, the Rev. Bruce F. Mase officiating. Burial was at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Air Force.
