Dale Stevely
Dale W. Stevely, 85, 14110 Glynwood-New Knoxville Road, St. Marys, died at 4:15 a.m. April 22, 2007, in the emergency department at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. Death was due to a sudden illness.
He was born Dec. 23, 1921, in Auglaize County, to Oscar and Elizabeth Kiser Stevely. He first married Jacquelyn Stevely, who is deceased. On June 1, 1984, he married Kathryn Post-Buehler, who survives.
Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Marilyn (Ron) Dorsten, Minster, and Janet (Steve) Alspaugh, Van Wert; a stepson, Dave Buehler, Wapakoneta; a daughter-in-law, Marcie Buehler, Celina; six stepgrandchildren and eight step great-grandchilren.
Deceased are a stepson, Carl Buehler, and a brother, Donald.
He worked as a car salesman and a musician, playing in The Stevely Brass band. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II, a 1940 graduate of Coldwater High School, a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Anthony E. Cutcher officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys, where military rites will be performed.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
