Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Emma Bernard
Emma Lou Bernard, 86, of The Gardens at St. Henry, died at 7 p.m. May 3, 2007, at her residence.
She was born June 18, 1920, in St. Marys, to Carl H. and Emma Krantz Althoff. On April 15, 1972, she married Edward H. Bernard, who died Aug. 28, 2001.
Surviving are two stepsons, Bob (Sue), Beavercreek, and Chuck (Cindy), Fremont; three stepdaughters, Helen (Bill) Shackleford, Port Clinton, Marjorie (Jerome) Braun, Milford, and Dorothy Nieset, Fremont; a brother, Eugene (Ruby) Althoff, Vero Beach, Fla., 12 stepgrandchildren and eight step great-grandchilldren.
Deceased are a stepson-in-law, Don Nieset, two brothers, Ferdinand and Franklin Krantz, and two sisters, Marcella and Lillian Althoff.
She retired from Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, and was employed at Dr. Baroon's office. She was a graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, a graduate of University of Cincinnati in nursing, and a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
