Jennifer Schatzer, a seventh-grader at Parkway Local Schools, creates a simulated oaxacan art creation with multiple designs around a large sea horse during art class on Tuesday. Teacher Patti Taylor teaches her students to experiment with the abstract art of oaxacan, which is a colorful type of wood art originating in Mexico.
