Minster auctioneer Tim Eiting seeks bids for a rhubarb pie that took top honors out of a field of 20 at the New Bremen Historic Association's annual picnic Sunday. The pie, baked by Mike Egbert of St. Marys, is held by his mother Marlene Egbert. The sale of the three prize-winning pies netted $150 for the association following deliberation by judges Ben Wissman, Scott Albers and Michael Conradi, members of the New Bremen-German Township Fire Department. In addition to food and music, the event included museum tours and antique appraisals.
