Gusty southwest winds will become westerly this afternoon. The strong winds and the recently fallen snow is resulting in some blowing and drifting snow, especially across rural and open areas. This may result in rapid changes in road conditions over short distances. Motorists should exercise extra caution.

Richard Everman
Richard E. Everman, 85, 1225 U.S.127, Maria Stein, died at 12:45 a.m. June 14, 2007, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born May 21, 1922, in Maria Stein, to August and Anna Miller Everman. On November 23, 1950, he married Mary Agnes Reichert, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Carl (Beck), Maria Stein, and Paul, Montezuma; three daughters, Marilyn (Gene) Braun, Coldwater, Anna (Ted) Willmann, St. Henry, and Cynthia (Jim) Ruschau, Loveland; a brother, Cyril (Wilma), Maria Stein; three sisters, Adeline Knapke, Versailles, Alfreda Reichert, Maria Stein, and Wilma (Al) Zumberger, Versailles; a son-in-law, Jerry Siefring, New Weston; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Michael; a daughter, Doris Siefring; two brothers, Arthur and Bill; two sisters, Armella Bruggeman and Clarina Broerman; and a daughter-in-law, Dawn.
He worked at the former Avco New Idea plant in Coldwater. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Cranberry Prairie, its Men's Society and American Legion Post 571, Maria Stein.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery where military services will be conducted by the American Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
