Lawrence Puthoff
Lawrence Frank "Barney" Puthoff, 89, 25 Liberty St., Chickasaw, died June 23, 2007, at his residence.
He was born April 30, 1918, in Maria Stein, to Joseph and Regina Rolfes Puthoff. On May 28, 1949, he married Imelda Stelzer, who survives.
Surviving are two sons, Roger L. (Jeri), Minster, and Jerry L. (Diane), St. Henry; a sister, Norma (Romie) Buening, Maria Stein; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Alvin, Edwin and Leander, and a sister, Laurette.
He retired from the former New Idea plant, Coldwater, was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, and the Men's Holy Name Society. He also was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 9019, Chickasaw, and American Legion Post 571, Maria Stein.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Harry Cavanaugh officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
