Accident with injury
local picture
The heavily damaged 1998 Ford Escort of Marvin J. Zizelman Sr., 61, 1020 W. Market St., Celina, sets near the intersection of U.S. 33 and U.S. 127 following a car-semitrailer accident at 1:47 p.m. Thursday. Zizelman was northbound on U.S. 127 traveling through the intersection on a green light when his car was struck by an eastbound 2007 Kenworth driven by Raul Velazques-Torres, 47, of Grand Prairie, Texas. Impact rotated the car causing the rig to hit it a second time. Zizelman was taken by ambulance to St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. Both heavily damaged vehicles were towed from the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
