Leola Tangeman
Leola Tangeman, 90, 33 E. South St., New Bremen, died at 8:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Valley Nursing Center, St. Marys.
She was born March 25, 1917, near New Bremen, to Herbert and Sabine Doenges Dicke. On Jan. 27, 1938, she married Walter Tangeman, who died April 1, 2005.
Surviving are a son, Larry (Ruth) of New Bremen; a daughter, Beverly (Donald) Applegate, New Bremen; a son-in-law, Dennis (Genevieve Conradi) Dicke, New Bremen; a brother, John (LaRue) Dicke, St. Marys; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
A daughter, Lois Dicke, and a brother, Robert Dicke, are deceased.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter's Church, New Bremen.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Stephen Wills officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Monday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Contributions can be made to the church memorial fund or the New Bremen Emergency Squad.
