Rosalee Luebke
Rosalee E. Luebke, 82, 56 N. Fankfort St., Minster, died at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 23, 2007, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Osgood, to John and Anna Henke Schemmel. On Aug. 10, 1946, she married Lawrence Luebke, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Dan, New Bremen, Larry (Jenny), Minster, and Bruce (Ann), Celina; five daughters, Diane (Jim) Boerger, Westlake, Elaine (Roy) Brown, Nancy (Joe) Bruns and Sandy (Larry) Hoying, all of Minster, and Brenda (Craig) Sherman, Powell; a brother, Norbert (Doris) Schemmel, Osgood; a sister, Marietta Holthaus, Fort Loramie; a sister-in-law, Pauline (Urb) Drees, Yorkshire; 27 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Dave; a daughter-in-law, Ann; five brothers, Lawrence, Vernon, Louis, Linus and Joseph Schemmel; a sister, Alma Rutschilling; and a granddaughter.
She was a beautician and owner of Rosalee's Beauty Shop, Minster. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, its St. Monica Ladies Sodality and formerly of its ladies choir. She also was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Post 1391, Minster, and the Lake Loramie Improvement Association.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding and Deacon John Holthaus officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
