Happy Birthday Minster
Photo by Margie Wuebker/The Daily Standard

Youngsters line up eagerly awaiting a piece of cake as residents gathered Tuesday night to commemorate Minster's 175th birthday. Margaret Harrod, wife of village administrator Don Harrod, cuts the cake bearing the crest for the community established in 1832. The program, sponsored by the village and the Minster Historical Society, featured music from the St. Augustine Men's Choir and speakers on various historical topics. Mayor Dennis Kitzmiller also dedicated a large concrete pad with an etched village crest in the south Minster Machine Centennial Park.
