Vibrant colors of autumn
local picture
A young blue jay makes a stop at a Celina residence last week. Blue jays are among the handsomest of birds, according to the National Audubon Society's Field Guide to North American Birds. Although seen through the year, the birds are migratory and travel in large loose flocks in both spring and fall, the field guide says.
