Scattered snow showers occurring across the region will gradually diminish into the overnight hours. While any accumulation will be less than an inch, this will create slick roadways. Not all roads will be affected, but motorists should be aware that driving conditions may change quickly along their route, going from dry to slick. If traveling tonight, use extra caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

John Tobin
John "Jack" Tobin, 80, 31 S. Canal St., Montezuma, died Oct. 4, 2007, at his residence.
He was born March 20, 1927, in Montezuma, to Cloid and Sarah Yaney Tobin. On Dec. 5, 1946, he married Alice Cencebaugh, who died Sept. 11, 2006.
Surviving are a son, Mark (Chris), Montezuma; two daughters, Penny (Lowell) Kissinger, Bradford, and Diane Whitehead (Bob Huffman), Montezuma; two sisters, Bertha Mae Edminston, and June Miller, both of Celina; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Jim and Bob.
He was a carpenter and painter and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. He was a member of Montezuma United Methodist Church, Celina American Legion Post 210 and Celina Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713.
Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery.
