Earline Opperman
Former St. Marys resident Earline Opperman, 77, of Lakeland, Fla., died at 4 p.m. Oct. 18, 2007, at Oakbridge Nursing Home, Lakeland.
She was born March 15, 1930, in Darke County, to Earl Shives and Eleanor Puterbaugh Logan Ritchie. On March 24, 1951, she married Marvin Opperman, who survives.
Other survivors include a son, Jeff (Kendra), St. Marys; a daughter, Susan (Larry) Wilkins, Celina; two brothers, Tom (Dianne) Logan, St. Marys, and Dick (Donna) Logan, Prescott, Ariz.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Benjamin and Eugene Shives.
She was a homemaker and former secretary at Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys. She was a 1948 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys.
Services are 3 p.m. Nov. 3 at First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 1-3 p.m. Nov. 3 at the church.
