Bird watching on Grand Lake
Photo by Mark Pummell/The Daily Standard

A group of Canada Geese stand in low water along the edge of Grand Lake Thursday morning. The lake is a resting point for many birds as they migrate for the winter, providing a great opportunity to see a variety of water birds not commonly seen on the lake during other parts of the year.
