Thomas Rindler
Thomas J. Rindler, 70, 14617 U.S. 127, New Weston, died Nov. 10, 2007, at Dayton Hospice.
He was born Aug. 12, 1937, in Celina, to Joseph and Loretta Dillhoff Rindler. On April 29, 1961, he married Janice Fleck, who died Oct. 23, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Michael, Ansonia; a daughter, Tina (Sam) Thobe, Maria Stein; two brothers, Paul (Doris), Dayton, and Bob (Betty), North Star; five sisters, Della Mae Cox, Miamisburg, Mary Kay Plassenthal, Dayton, Phyllis (Lee) Hull, Jamestown, Tenn., Barbara (Buck) Mangen, Clayton, and Doris (Bernie) Phlipot, Greenville; a sister-in-law, Carol Rindler, Versailles; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are five brothers, Gary, Floyd, Edwin, Edward and Francis; and two sisters, Juanita Schlorman and Joan Berry.
He was a farmer and past owner and operator of the Blue & White Tavern, North Star. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of American Legion Post 174 and St. Louis Catholic Church and its Men's Society, all of North Star.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial with military services is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, and 9-10:15 a.m. Friday at the church.
