Elmer Hoelscher
Elmer E. Hoelscher, 89, 11008 Kettlersville Road, New Knoxville, died at 12:10 p.m. Nov. 12, 2007, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home.
He was born June 16, 1918, in New Knoxville, to George and Anna Lammers Hoelscher. On June 18, 1942, he married Martha Lammers, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Jerry (Judy), New Knoxville; a daughter, Marsha Hayes, New Knoxville; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Noah and Kermit; and three sisters, Martha Schroer, Esther Elshoff and Ruby Jauert.
He was a retired farmer and a welder. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodges in St. Marys and Wapakoneta, and the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is 4:30-8:30 p.m. Friday in the Heritage Room of the church.
Contributions can be made to the Radio Broadcast Fund of the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville.
