Voters turned out early at the new polling place in the Junior Fair Building at the Mercer County Fairgrounds this morning. At issue are seats on various school boards, a sales tax issue to support a new jail, a mental health replacement levy and various local officials. Deputy Elections Director Denise Fullenkamp reported the voting appears to be going smoothly at mid-morning. The polls are open until 7:30 p.m.
