Snow scene
Photo by Shelley Grieshop/The Daily Standard

Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus greet motorists along Deep Cut Road near Mendon, thanks to some fancy snow carving by Vickie Teboe, 17. A Parkway High School junior, Teboe spent a few hours Saturday sculpting the Nativity next to her family's driveway. She first attempted to make a snowman, but when the top portion fell off she decided to change her 5-foot tall creation into a more religious theme, she said. The young artist is currently taking ceramics at school and is signed up for sculpture class next semester.
