At 1212 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near New Bremen, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Newport, Fryburg, Montra, Egypt, Uniopolis, New Bremen, Buckland, Botkins, New Knoxville, Fort Loramie, Kettlersville, Moulton, Jackson Center, St. Marys, Anna, Kossuth, Lakeview, Lake Loramie State Park, Waynesfield, and Wapakoneta.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 96 and 118.

Alvin Mescher
Maria Stein native Alvin D. Mescher, 86, of Clayton, died Dec. 30, 2007, at his home.
He was born May 28, 1921, in Maria Stein, to William and Anna Overman Mescher. His wife of 59 years, Norma Busse, survives.
Other survivors are three sons, William (Susan), Indiana, Marc (Ann), Centerville, and Eric (Lori), Columbus; two daughters, Mary Jane (William) Long, Cincinnati, and Terese (Michael) Meiring, Minster; five brothers, George and Leander (Carol), both of Dayton, John (Mary Catherine) and Thomas, both of Maria Stein, and Paul, Celina; two sisters, Marie Schmidt, Vandalia, and Rita (George) Sullivan, Oregon; a brother-in-law, Richard Selhorst, Coldwater; a sister-in-law, Leona, Minster; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Albert; and three sisters, Alvina Kuether, Agnes Hoying and Grace Selhorst.
He retired from General Motors after 45 years of service. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Maria Stein American Legion Post 571, Precious Blood Catholic Church, Dayton, and its Leisure Club.  
Memorial Mass is 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. William O'Donnell officiating. Burial with graveside services is 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.
Calling is 10:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
