Millions for Maria
Photo by Janie Southard/The Daily Standard

Maria Donovan, a third-grader at East Elementary School in Celina, will have surgery Monday to receive a bone marrow transplant from her sister, Tracy, an eighth-grader at Celina Intermediate School. Maria was diagnosed with leukemia. Students at both schools gathered more than a million pop tabs in less than a year, which will be donated in support of the Ronald McDonald House. East Principal Michelle Duncan and Ronald welcomed the entire school and thanked them for the "Millions for Maria."
