The battered 1992 Buick Century of Betty Schumm, 86, 806 S. Main St., Rockford, rests against a parked SUV following an accident at 2:07 p.m. Tuesday on East Market Street, Celina, near the intersection of South Main Street. Schumm was backing from a parking space when she reportedly hit the accelerator instead of the brake sending her vehicle across the street and into contact with the 2001 Ford Expedition of James Rammel, 367 Ashcraft Road, Fort Recovery. Celina Police cited Schumm for improper backing and the report listed light to moderate vehicle damage.
