Increasing rubble

The Mersman water tower that used to be surrounded by the buildings of the former furniture company can be seen plainly now that part of the main building is demolished. The work is moving slowly, not only because of the weather, but also so salvageable materials, such as wood, can be removed. The work, being done by CRS Demolition of Louisville, Ky., is being financed through a $750,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Development. Brickyard Investments plans to develop the property.
