Scattered snow showers occurring across the area will slowly diminish through the evening. These snow showers will continue to cause brief reductions in visibility. In addition, as temperatures fall, the snow showers could produce a light coating of snow on roadways. This will result in the potential for some slick spots to develop. Motorists should be prepared for changing conditions this evening and exercise extra caution.

Maxine Ayers
Maxine E. Ayers, 81, of Greenville, died Feb. 28, 2008, at her residence.
She was born in Detroit, Mich., to James and Verla Riegel Bell. On July 12, 1947, she married Richard H. Ayers, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Gayle (Harry) Kinnison and Dianna (Gailen) Wilson, all of Greenville; a brother, James R. Bell, Celina; two sisters, Betty Gridley, Brookville, and Pamela Anderson, Delaware; a sister-in-law, Jean Bell, Greenville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A brother, Robert Bell, is deceased.
She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Brethren Church, Greenville.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. Danny Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Abbottsville Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
