Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the Tri-State region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Mary Roether
Mary C. Roether, 86, died at 10 a.m. March 21, 2008, at Hospice of Cincinnati Western Hills.
She was born April 30, 1921, in Cincinnati, to Leo J. and Mary Averbeck Heithaus. On June 15, 1946, she married Celina native Guy "Joe" Roether, who died in 1985.
Survivors are two sons Michael (Mary Lou), Cincinnati, Mark (Betty), Mogadore; a daughter, Mary Jo (Bob) Husman, Brandon, Miss.; two sisters, Loretta Roark and Jeanann Heithaus, and a brother Jerry Heithaus, all of Cincinnati; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Pete Heithaus; two sisters, Ritamay Burke and Rosemarie Halstead; and a great-grandson.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Cincinnati.
Calling is 9:30-10:15 a.m. Friday at the church.
