Special Weather Statement issued December 3 at 1:05PM EST by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Hailey Obringer, 6, and Chelsea Davis, 5, patiently await the creation of a cocoon by caterpillars in their classroom at Mercer County Head Start Preschool in Celina. When the butterflies make their appearance, the students will release them as part of the national celebration for the Week of the Young Child, which begins on Monday. Other activities next week include a sing-along with students from area preschools and childcare programs on Monday; Lunch with a Bunch on Thursday, focusing on healthy foods; and a Summer Survival evening on Thursday with parents and children, teaching them valuable tips for summer fun.
