Welcome home
Photo by Mark Pummell/The Daily Standard

U.S. Marine Sgt. Van Gipson was welcomed home from his second tour in Iraq by a large yard sign put up by his mother, Mary Synder, and Gipson's fiancee, Katherine Harsh. He arrived home last weekend. The sign, in the yard of his Touvelle Street home, also was signed by Gipson's friends and family. Gipson, who is a Celina High School graduate, is home on leave for 18 days.
