Henry Mowery
Henry E. "Hank" Mowery, 62, Paulding, died May 1, 2008, at Paulding County Hospital due to natural causes.
He was born Nov. 12, 1945, in Chicopee Falls, Mass., to Eugene A. and Henrietta A. Luedeke Mowery. His mother survives in Celina; his father is deceased. On Feb. 15, 1969, he married Sally Dwenger, who survives in Paulding.
Also surviving are a daughter, Michelle (Tom) Nicholson, Defiance; a son, Kerry (Rachel), Napoleon; a sister, Ruth (Jerry) Long, Celina; three brothers, David (Kathy), Sylva, N.C., Steve, Celina, and Charlie, Fairborn; and five grandchildren.
He retired from Toms Installation, St. Henry, after working as a telephone technician for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulding.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. G. Allan Fillman officiating. Burial is at Paulding Memorial Cemetery, Paulding, where military rites will be conducted by Paulding Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, with a wake service at 7:30 p.m. Calling also is 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
