Remembering their brethren

The Celina American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars and its auxiliary participated in Memorial Day services Monday morning throughout Mercer County. The observance began in Mendon with a parade down the village's Main Street. After a 21-gun salute, flowers were thrown into the St. Marys River at the edge of town in honor of those who have died, followed by a brief program at the town's park. Also participating in the parade were local Boy and Girl Scouts and the Parkway High School band.
