A welder works on the railing of a new handicapped ramp being installed at the grandstands at the Mercer County Fairgrounds on Wednesday. The $22,154 project was constructed by Shinn Brothers and Selhorst Concrete and funded with a $12,500 Community Development Block Grant, $3,500 from ARC and $2,000 from Midwest Electric. Fairground officials still are seeking donations for the remaining $4,154.
