Gerald Yenser
Former Celina resident Gerald L. Yenser, 72, of Watertown, Wisc., died at 10:15 a.m. on June 21, 2008, at his home.
He was born Feb. 11, 1936, in Paulding, to Donald L. and Wanda Speakman Yenser. On June 10, 1956, he married Celia Collins, who survives at the residence.
Survivors are four sons, Michael (Rebecca) and Daniel (Cora), all of Watertown, Mark (Cathleen), Frankfort, Ill. and Douglas (Dawn), Vinton, Iowa; a daughter, Vicki (Daniel) Bartz, Watertown; a brother, Robert (Martha), Celina; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He worked at the former New Idea Farm Equipment Company in Coldwater; was a manager at the former G.B. Lewis Company; and was employed at Vulcan Fabricating, both in Watertown. He also worked as an engineer in quality control at manufacturing companies in Milwaukee and was an agent for Prudential Insurance Company in Watertown. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Watertown, where he was a member of the choir. He graduated in 1954 from Celina High School and attended Bowling Green State University for two years.
Funeral services were held at the church on June 25, the Rev. Lee Meissner, officiated. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown.
Hafemeister Funeral Home, Watertown, handled the arrangements.
