Dorothy Brandt
Dorothy Jane Brandt, 76, of Willshire, died June 30, 2008, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Lima to Samuel A. and Bertha E. Pester Rupert. On Feb. 18, 1951, she married Thomas Brandt, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Stephen (Tina) and Larry (Jackie), all of Willshire; three daughters, Susan (James) Sexson, Tucson, Ariz., Sandra (Ted) Bollenbacher, Rockford, and Lisa (Monte) Everett, Decatur, Ind.; a brother; Charles (Marilyn) Rupert, Lima; a sister-in-law, Pat Rupert, Fostoria; and nine grandchildren.       Deceased is a son, David; a brother, Marvin; and a grandchild.
She was a homemaker and worked at Tu-Way Mop Factory and the Shane Hill Nursing Home, both in Rockford. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga, where she taught Sunday school and was director of Sunday School Services. She also was active in the Women's Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Rev. Randall Swanson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, and one hour prior to service Sunday at the church.
