Super size

It's the Great Pumpkin (plant), Charlie Brown! Or at least it would seem, given the size and scope of this pumpkin plant that is "guarding" the home of Pat and Leslie Frederick at 315 N. Walnut St. in Celina. "It just came up on its own and we let it grow and boy did it," Leslie said. The huge plant trails nearly the length of the entire home and slowly but surely is climbing up and swallowing the shrubbery in the front of the house. Some of the larger leaves are nearly a foot in diameter, shielding the pumpkins being nurtured by the plant. The couple's 4-year-old son, Hunter, is hopeful that the pumpkin with his name engraved on it will eventually grow into a large jack-o-lantern.
