Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Erma Link
Mercer County native Erma Jean Link, 76, of Union City, Ind., died at 8:50 p.m. Sept. 3, 2008, at Pine Knoll Nursing Home, Winchester, Ind.
She was born Sept. 10, 1931, in Mercer County, to Julius and Veronica Moorman Link.
Surviving is a sister, Anna Mae Stammen, Coldwater.
Deceased are five brothers, Leo, Harold, Henry Paul, Donald and Franklin; and three sisters, Mildred Hudson, Elaine Lorton and Rosemary Litmer.
She was a former member of the Sisters of the Precious Blood, serving for 20 years as Sister Mary Gerald. She also worked at the Hostess Company in Chicago, Ill., for 25 years.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Union City, the Rev. Mike McKinley officiating. Burial is at Union City Cemetery.
Calling is 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc., Union City.
