Special Weather Statement issued December 3 at 1:05PM EST by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Donated board
Photo by Mark Pummell/The Daily Standard

A new leader board, donated by the Hoyng family, was displayed on Thursday in the CAPT athletic building at Celina High School. The board was recently installed in remembrance of Brian Hoyng, who was active in swimming as a young man. Hoyng was struck by lightning when he was 16 years old and disabled. He died a few months ago at the age of 43. In front of the new leader board are Brian's brother and sister-in-law, Dave and Amy Hoyng, left, Celina swim coach Matt May and Brian's parents, Dorothy and Louis Hoyng.
