Special Weather Statement issued December 3 at 1:05PM EST by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Fort Day velcro fun
Photo by William Kincaid/The Daily Standard

Fort Recovery elementary students who sold eight or more magazine subscriptions for the school fundraiser this year were rewarded with time on inflatable novelties on Friday. In all, 127 students were eligible for the activity, and those students who sold 15 or more subscriptions also were taken to lunch in a limo. The school earned 40 percent of all total sales with proceeds going to field trips, classroom supplies, assemblies and field day activities.
