Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Ruth Brown
Ruth P. Brown, 73, 544 Clover Four Road, New Bremen, died at 1:40 a.m. Nov. 29, 2008, at her residence.
She was born March 30, 1935, in Chickasaw, to Leo and Clara Kaiser Homan. On April 27, 1957, she married Alvin T. Brown, who survives.
Other survivors are seven children, Linda (Scott) Kuenning, Lou (Deb) Brown, and Alan (Ruth), all of New Bremen, Rose (Leroy) Meyer, Fort Loramie, Agnes (Steve) Poeppelman, Minster, Martin (Angela), St. Marys, and Lucy (Leonard) Gaerke, Coldwater; two brothers, Donald Homan, New Bremen, and Leo (Diane) Homan, Maria Stein; three sisters, Dorothy (Tony) Brown, St. Marys, Velma (Sylvester) Berning, McCartyville, and Joan Homan, New Bremen; two sisters-in-law, Lillian and Joann Homan, both of New Bremen; 32 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Harold, Arnold and Maurice.
She worked on the family farm with her husband. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, and its St. Anne Ladies Sodality, the Adoration Guild and choir. She was an organist, eucharistic minister, CCD teacher, sacristan, bookkeeper and housekeeper of the church. She was a member of the uniform rank ladies Auxiliary Knights of St. John Maria Stein, where she had served as pianist for 44 years and as past president and trustee of the Knights. She was a member of the Minster Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, a secretary of the CCD Program at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, New Bremen, for 10 years, and a volunteer at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, and the Mercer County Council on Aging.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. Harold Brown and Gene Schnipke officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a wake service at 8 p.m. or when viewing is complete, and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Contributions can be made to the Auglaize County Cancer Society or the Precious Blood Cemetery fund.
