* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1044 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

Nile McCain
Mercer County native, Nile McCain, 84, Lima, died at 3:45 a.m. Jan. 2, 2009, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 27, 1924, in Mercer County to Charles Hudson and Sarah Hole McCain. On Oct. 27, 1946, he married Jewell E. Maynard, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Katherine McCain, Centerville; three sons, John Nile (Susan) and Ross (Jaye), all of Lima, and Dana Leigh (Christine), Louisville, Ky.; three sisters, Esther Spicer, Coldwater, Grace Kable, Celina, and Doris Harding, Lima; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceasd are four brothers, Glen, Lloyd, Charles and Clyde; and a sister, Olive Muter.
He was a retired iron worker who had worked in many regions of the U.S. He volunteered with Metro Parks Blue Birds and attended Shawnee United Methodist Church.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, the Revs. Bryan Bucher and Charlotte Hefner officiating. Burial is at Shawnee Cemetery, Lima.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be given to Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Parks or St. Rita's Hospice.
