Skidmarks

Skidmarks and a trail of debris mark the scene of an accident this morning along state Route 703, east of Celina. The quick reaction of one motorist is being credited with averting damage to a Celina City Schools bus and possible injury to students on board. Mercer County Sheriff's deputies continue to investigate the accident, which occurred when a Ford Focus failed to stop and struck the rear of a Nissan stopped for the bus picking up passengers. The Nissan driver was able to steer away from the bus. No names were available but one motorist reportedly claimed injury and was taken to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
