Widespread fog has developed this morning. Some patchy dense fog is also being observed. Motorists are advised to prepare for quickly changing conditions with visibilities reduced below a quarter mile in some locations. The fog will slowly improve by mid to late morning.
When encountering fog, be sure to turn on low beam headlights, slow down, and increase following distance.

Marjorie Gerwels
Marjorie M. Gerwels, 82, 294 E. 2nd St., Minster, died at 4:58 a.m. Feb. 14, 2009, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
She was born July 26, 1926, in Baltimore, Md., to Charles and Clara Rothley Bernard. On June 1, 1946, she married Karl Gerwels, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Gary, Minster; a brother, James Bernard, Uhrichsville; a sister-in-law, Barb Bernard, New Philadelphia; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased is a brother Bruce Bernard.
She was retired from Crown Corporation, New Bremen, and had worked at the former Sherman Drug Store, Minster. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
