The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Bernice Sheets
Bernice Aletta Sheets, 92, 10938 Neptune-Mendon Road, Mendon, died at noon Feb. 15, 2009, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Sept. 4, 1916, in Mercer County, to Jess and Flossie Boise Kendall. On July 22, 1935, she married David LeRoy Sheets Sr., who died June 19, 1992.
Surviving are two sons, David L. Jr. (Diana) and Veryl L. (Marilyn), all of Mendon; two daughters, Marilyn J. Kahler, Mendon, and Amy (Stanley) Baker, Elgin; a sister, Margaret Andrews, Englewood; a sister-in-law, Opal Bower, New Knoxville; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Lavon Johnson and Gladys Hope.
She was a homemaker and worked for five years at the former Huffy Bicycle Corp., Celina. She attended the former Neptune High School.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Michael Berne officiating. Burial is at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
