James Leistenschneider
James W. "Jim" Leistenschneider, 79, 4711 Lange Road, St. Henry, died at 2:31 a.m. Feb. 25, 2009, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Dayton, to Julius and Ursula Sutter Leistenschneider. On Oct. 5, 1957, he married Barbara Stachler, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Dale (June), St. Henry; two daughters, Debra (Dave) Paul, Powell, and Diane (Jeff) Lange, St. Henry; a sister, Lois (Bill) MacMillan, Kettering; and seven grandchildren.
He was a farmer, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the Fort Recovery American Legion.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, with military honors conducted at the graveside by Fort Recovery American Legion.
