Veronica "Ronnie" Heitkamp, 68, 52 E. Second St., Minster, died at 7 a.m. March 1, 2009, at Rock Hill, S.C.

She was born March 18, 1940, in Dayton, to Ernest and Veronica Sinkwitz Omlor. On Oct. 22, 1960, she married Kenneth A. Heitkamp, who died Sept. 29, 2007.

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth A. Jr., Rock Hill, and Gregory J. (Laura), Minster; three brothers, James (Ann) Omlor, Houston, Texas, Robert (Linda) Omlor, Bullhead, Ariz., and Raymond (Emily) Omlor, Kettering; a sister, Lauretta (Henry) Pant, Fairborn; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane (Duane) Bachman, Piqua, and Barb Heitkamp, Minster; three brothers-in-law, Donald (Shirley) Heitkamp, Minster, Larry (Judy) Heitkamp, St. Henry, and Gary (Jane) Heitkamp, Montezuma; and six grandchildren.

Deceased is a brother-in-law, Terry Heitkamp.

She was retired from Minster Local Schools after 24 years of service and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and its ladies funeral choir. She was a member of the Minster Booster Club, and the Knights of Lithuania Council, Dayton.

Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-9:30 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
