Bernice Wilker
Bernice F. Wilker, 88, 7705 County Road 219A, Celina, died at 4:35 a.m. on April 15, 2009, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 23, 1920, in Montezuma to Julius and Mary Schwieterman Dabbelt. On Oct. 22, 1947, she married Norbert Wilker, who died July 5, 1996.
Surviving is a son, Ben Wilker, Celina; a daughter, Jane Kuhn, Celina; two brothers Luke (Marjorie) Dabbelt, Wapakoneta, and Martin (Ruth) Dabbelt, New Bremen; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Dabbelt, Celina, and Justine Wilker Montezuma; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers Norbert and his wife Pat Dabbelt and Thomas Dabbelt; and her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Oscar Rose.
She worked at Heckler Electric and Total Electric, both in Celina, as a secretary and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, and its Christian Mother's Altar Rosary Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Revs. James Dugal and Ron Wilker officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
