Southwest winds will increase this morning with the passage of a strong cold front. Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 to 45 mph expected this morning into the afternoon before diminishing toward evening.
These gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects.

2009 Celina Lake Festival

Fireworks over Grand Lake closed the first day of Lake Festival activities Friday evening at Lakeshore Park. Prior to that colorful display, visitors were treated to the Amphicar "Swim In" at the Hot Water Hole and to a concert at the entertainment tent by the band Sierra Shame. Also at the park, were kiddie rides, food booths, arts and crafts venders along the shore as well as on Main Street. The festival continues today with the annual Cardboard Duck Tape Boat race and a 150 unit parade which begins this evening at about 6:15 p.m.
